Nissan Navara Pro-4X price, specs tweaked

Nissan has given its flagship dual-cab ute a mild tweak for the second half of 2022.

The brand has confirmed the Navara Pro-4X will feature heated seats with power adjustment and lumbar support from August. The current model features unheated, manual front seats.

The change in standard equipment is accompanied by a $600 price rise, taking the starting price to $58,730 before on-roads for the manual, and $61,230 before on-roads for the automatic.

Given it’s based on the Pro-4X, the Australian-developed Navara Warrior has also gained heated seats. It’s now priced from $70,590 before on-roads. There are no other changes to the Pro-4X for the second half of 2022.

Standard equipment in the Navara Pro-4X currently includes:

  • All-terrain tyres
  • Black stainless steel sports bar with sail panel
  • Black fender flares, roof rails
  • Black alloy wheels
  • Black painted door mirrors, side steps, grille and door handles
  • Leather-accented Pro-4X seats

Power in the Navara comes from a 2.3-litre diesel four-cylinder with two turbos.

Outputs are 140kW of power at 3750rpm and 450Nm of torque between 1500 and 2500rpm. Claimed fuel economy is 8.1 litres per 100km, and the fuel tank holds 80 litres.

The Navara has been Nissan’s best-selling car in 2022, with 6062 reported sales to the end of May.

The range is set to expand, too, with the arrival of the Navara SL Warrior.

The new addition to the range will be based on the fleet-friendly, entry-level SL and re-engineered by Premcar in Epping, Victoria to compete with the likes of the Ford Ranger FX4 Max and Mazda BT-50 Thunder.

A Warrior program extension was confirmed at a Nissan dealer event on May 9, where the company also said the Patrol Warrior is still under study and spoke of plans to launch four key new models in the second half of 2022.

Having undergone the same local testing, tuning and evaluation as the flagship and more luxuriously-equipped Pro-4X Warrior, the Navara SL Warrior is said to deliver the hallmark Warrior on- and off-road capability at the “most accessible price point to date”.
